FIFA Marketing Highlights

Work completed at The Addison Group in 2013

We worked with FIFA to deliver an online publication framework to support a suite of marketing highlights publications.

This project was a progression of a CMS and responsive framework that was based off the work that I completed for BASF Creating Chemistry. Using the same logic for the modular approach.

To create this best-of-class online reading experience, we decided to go down a route of a content-first design philosophy whereby navigation, search and other user interface elements are recessive, ensuring that the maximum impact can be delivered across all devices.

The idea of the site was to surface relevant facts, pictures and teasers to the homepage from articles within the site, allowing the reader to get a highlighted summary from a quick glance.

A page similar to the homepage would highlight content from the commercial affiliates of the event, and on this page you can filter content based on the activation or commercial affiliate.

This site had to go live 2 weeks after the event so it meant concepting, designing and building it before we had any content. We then had to hope that the lovely guys at FIFA managed to collate all the data and copywrite it to fit the flexible site we had designed.
